Cino cards are issued in either euros (€) or pounds (£).
Whenever you make a payment in a currency different from your Cino account currency, we apply a 2% markup fee for currency conversion (FX).
Here’s how it works:
-
We use the wholesale fixed daily rate provided by VISA® or Mastercard, depending on your Cino card.
-
The rate stays the same for the whole day.
-
To check the exact rate, you can use the VISA® Currency Converter Calculator or Mastercard currency exchange; just make sure you select the right date and account for time zones (they update their rate daily at 12 PM Central Standard Time (CST)).
💡 Heads up:
-
Exchange rates can change between the time you make a purchase and when the merchant processes it.
-
If your connected card (the one you used to fund your Cino account) has a different currency than your Cino account currency, your bank or card issuer might also charge their own fees. Check with them if you're not sure!
